Arlington Residents! I recently attended a contractor-training day with the StormwaterWise Landscaping program. Did you know that you can receive a significant reimbursement for residential landscape projects that improve your stormwater management? The drawback to this program is that it is based on a lottery that only happens once a year. The lottery opens up on March 1st, so I urge you to check it out. Winter Jasmine Brightens My Run

I was running down the Custis Trail yesterday and saw all this Winter Jasmine hanging along the retaining wall- lovely! Native to China, this is a wonderful early winter bloomer, suggestive of forsythia to come a little later.
